Part of the York Stadium Leisure Complex at Monks Cross, York Leisure Centre's swimming facilities include a 25 metre pool for lane swimming and lessons, along with a family splash area and teaching pool for younger or less confident swimmers.

Alongside swimming, the centre runs group classes such as aqua aerobics, making it a flexible option for families and regular swimmers alike, with everything housed in one modern building connected to the stadium.

• Accessible facilities include wheelchair adaptation, a disabled toilet, accessible parking, poolside hoist, accessible changing, a lift, poolside facilities and a Changing Places facility

• Free car parking is available with 100 total spaces, including 30 disabled spaces
