Set in the beautiful Grade II listed Allenby House on the historic street of Stonegate, Antiques Centre York has been drawing collectors, browsers and gift-hunters since 2003. With over 120 carefully curated dealers under one roof, the centre offers one of the widest and most varied selections of antiques and collectables in the north of England - from Georgian silverware and antique jewellery to vintage toys, costume jewellery, pottery, militaria and much more. You'll even find dedicated sections for beloved collecting favourites such as Beatrix Potter, Beswick and Royal Doulton.
The centre has a well-earned reputation as a go-to destination, having been featured on BBC programmes including Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip. Each dealer brings their own specialism and passion to their section, which means the stock is of genuinely high quality and constantly changing. Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or are happy to be surprised, it's the kind of place where an hour can disappear very easily.
On the ground floor you'll also find Flossy's Café, making it a lovely spot to take a break mid-browse. The centre's location on Stonegate - directly opposite York Minster's south transept - means it sits right at the heart of the city's best shopping, café and restaurant district, and is easily combined with a wider visit to the city.
