Wild Things runs sessions for children (from walkers to 5 years) and their parent/carer.

Sessions run outdoors in a wooded area, in the grounds of Millthorpe School (Nunthorpe Avenue, YO23 1WF).

Wild Things is all about playing in nature, with nature, exploring and learning to take (managed) risks. A typical session might include playing in the mud kitchen, learning how to use a hammer, building a den, pond dipping, planting & watering the mini allotment and having a go at the nature based crafts.

There are lots of opportunities for child-led play, as well as a more structured activity for those children who wish to take part.
We end sessions with a campfire to toast marshmallows, and the children have a hot chocolate and parents are offered tea & coffee.
