Dean's Park lies to the north of York Minster and is open to the public throughout the year, generally from dawn until dusk. It's a popular, relaxed spot for a breather between sightseeing, with views up towards the cathedral.

The park regularly hosts family activities and events, from sensory trails to outdoor theatre, and is also known for its resident peregrine falcons, which nest nearby and can often be seen circling above the park.

Good to Know

• Dogs are welcome on a lead

• Picnics are allowed, but please take your litter home, and note that alcohol isn't permitted
